Village Adoption
This project takes a holistic approach to rural development by adopting an entire village and transforming it through multi-year, sustained intervention. Villages selected for adoption typically lack access to clean water, healthcare, education, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Feha works hand-in-hand with village residents, local leaders, and government bodies to create a customized development plan for each adopted village. From building infrastructure to nurturing local enterprises, every step is designed to make the village self-reliant and thriving within a few years.
Challenge & Solution
The adopted village faced severe challenges — no pucca roads, limited electricity, unsafe drinking water, and no nearby healthcare facility. Children had to walk miles to attend school, and most families depended on seasonal farming with unpredictable income. Feha began with a comprehensive needs assessment and then rolled out phased interventions covering water, sanitation, education, health, and livelihood.
Final Result
Within two years of adoption, the village now has clean piped drinking water, functional street lights, and a fully operational primary health center. A new learning center supports over 120 children, and more than 80 families have been trained in modern farming and small business skills. The village is well on its way to becoming a model of self-sustained rural development.
